Specialist property consultancy GFW has strengthened its professional property management offering with key hires, technology investment and a streamlined service model as demand for the service continues to grow.
The Newcastle-headquartered firm has appointed experienced property manager Tamsin Swann, who brings several years’ experience in managing commercial property portfolios and will play a key role in supporting the firm’s plans to continue to grow its management service across the region.
Her appointment follows the arrival of Simon Heydecke, who joined as Partner six months ago, and forms part of a broader recruitment drive that sees Harriet Hoyland join the team as a Graduate Surveyor, with further additions expected over the coming months.
The expansion comes amid significant momentum within GFW’s professional property management service, fuelled by growing demand across a range of assets including offices, industrial property and specialist operational sites such as Teesside International Airport.
Alongside strengthening its team, the firm has invested in a new property management platform to enhance the way it manages client portfolios and further improve reporting and communication with clients. The system is designed to give clients clearer insights into performance and management of their assets.
As part of the investment, GFW has also simplified its property management offering, introducing clear service tiers designed to provide greater transparency and deliver a stronger, more seamless experience for clients. Simon Heydecke, Partner at GFW said:
Bringing the right people into the team is a key part of our strategy as we continue to grow our property management service.
Tamsin’s experience in commercial management and in particular expertise in service charge management will strengthen our capability and help us support clients with increasingly complex portfolios.
Alongside investing in new systems and streamlining how we deliver our services, these appointments ensure we are well positioned to continue delivering a high-quality service, supporting the growth of our clients’ property assets.
Tamsin Swann, Senior Associate at GFW said:
I’m delighted to be joining GFW, the team have big plans and a very dynamic approach to property management and client relationships and I’m looking forward to being part of that.
There are huge opportunities in the North East so it feels like the perfect time to join that growth journey.
Reflecting on an increasing strength of service, Sally Hart, Managing Partner, says:
The growth we are investing in reflects the evolution of our property management service. With new faces joining our property management accounts team and the recent appointment of Peter Jones as Building Surveyor, we are further strengthening the firm’s technical capability. Ongoing recruitment, alongside continuous improvements to systems and processes, positions us to support clients, drive growth, and deliver best-in-class service.
