Project Overview
The A66 Northern Trans-Pennine project is one of the UK’s largest infrastructure upgrades, involving over 50 miles of road improvements between the M6 at Penrith and the A1(M) at Scotch Corner. The scheme includes the conversion of remaining single carriageway sections to dual carriageway, along with junction improvements and access reconfigurations. Delivered via Development Consent Order, the project significantly impacts landowners along the route.
Our Role
GFW has been appointed by private landowners impacted by the scheme to provide full lifecycle support, from early-stage consultation through to post-construction compensation claims. Our involvement ensures that the interests of affected landowners are fully represented and compensated under the DCO process.
