Conservation Architecture.

GFW has a dedicated heritage team specialising in works to Listed Buildings, Designated Heritage Assets and properties within Conservation Areas, spanning structures from the 12th through to the 20th century.

From major refurbishment schemes to minor alterations such as replacement windows, heritage assets require a considered and sensitive approach that respects their architectural and historic significance. Our team understands the complexities of working within statutory controls and heritage constraints, ensuring that proposals preserve and enhance the character of each building.

We work closely with Local Authorities, Historic England, the National Trust and other key stakeholders to agree an appropriate and policy-compliant scope of works. By carefully balancing client aspirations with building constraints and planning requirements, GFW delivers practical, sustainable solutions that protect and celebrate historic environments.
